- Exfoliate gently 1–2 days before, but not on the day.
- No lotions or oils on the area on the day.
- Tell us if you use retinoids, isotretinoin or blood thinners.

- Skip perfumed products on the area for two days.
- Start gentle exfoliation after 2–3 days and continue twice a week to prevent ingrown hairs.

About the treatment
Upper lip hair is completely normal, but many prefer to remove it – especially if it is dark or shows through make-up. Waxing takes the hair out from the root, with no stubble as with shaving. The waxing itself takes only a few minutes.
Waxing or another method?
Shaving leaves stubble and tweezing is slow. Waxing lasts for weeks, and with regular treatment the hair becomes finer. The upper lip can also be added to a facial as an add-on – you will find the options in the add-ons on the facial pages. To tidy several areas of the face, choose full face waxing.
The skin above the lip
The skin above the upper lip is thin and often goes red for a while after waxing. The redness usually fades within an hour or two. Leave make-up off the area for the rest of the day so the skin settles faster.
If you have been tweezing, let the hair grow for about 2 weeks before your visit so the wax can grip it.
