- Tell us if you use retinoids, isotretinoin or blood thinners.

- Wear loose cotton clothing on the day.
- Skip perfumed products on the area for two days.
- Start gentle exfoliation after 2–3 days and continue twice a week – it prevents ingrown hairs.

- The area has wounds, a rash, sunburn or an infection.
- You take isotretinoin or stopped less than 6 months ago.
- You are pregnant – waxing is often possible, but tell us beforehand as the skin is more sensitive.

- In summer — before the trip, not straight after a day at the beach: we don't wax sunburnt skin.

About the treatment
A Brazilian wax removes hair from the whole bikini area: front, sides and between the buttocks. If you like, a narrow strip can be left on the front. We use LYCON hot wax, which grips the hair rather than the skin, so the treatment is more comfortable than ordinary waxing and the skin settles faster.
LYCON on intimate skin
Hair in the intimate area is coarse and the skin is thin. LYCON hot wax cools into a flexible layer and wraps tightly around each hair, so even short hairs come out from the root while the skin surface is barely lifted. More about the wax: why we chose LYCON.
Brazilian, extended or bikini line?
There are three options for the bikini area, depending on how much you want removed:
- Bikini line – hair removed along the edges of your swimwear, €40
- Extended bikini – the edges plus more from the sides and top, €50
- Brazilian – the whole area, with an optional narrow strip, €65

Your first Brazilian wax
Many people feel nervous the first time – that is completely normal. Your cosmetologist explains what will happen before starting and works in small sections. You can always ask for a pause.
The first time usually feels the strongest because the hair is coarse and in different growth phases. With regular waxing the hair becomes finer and grows back more evenly, so each visit is easier than the last. More tips in your first Brazilian wax.
Price and duration
A Brazilian wax takes about 45 minutes and costs €65. You can book online at any time.

Questions
Does a Brazilian wax hurt?
You will feel the tug, especially the first time, but LYCON wax makes it much more comfortable than ordinary wax. The sensation passes quickly and it gets easier every time.
Can I get waxed during my period?
Yes, if you use a tampon or menstrual cup. Skin is more sensitive just before and during your period, so many prefer to book afterwards.
Is any hair left on the front?
Your choice: everything off or a narrow strip. Just tell us at the start.
Do you offer Brazilian waxing for men?
No, male intimate waxing is not offered at Skinique. For men we do, for example, back and chest waxing.
What is the difference between waxing and sugaring?
Both remove hair from the root. At Skinique we use only LYCON wax, because it grips even short hairs and suits sensitive skin.
