- No lotions or oils on the area on the day.
- Tell us if you use retinoids, isotretinoin or blood thinners.

- Skip perfumed products on the area for two days.
- Start gentle exfoliation after 2–3 days and continue twice a week to prevent ingrown hairs.

- Hair length — at least 2 mm, which is 2–3 weeks after shaving.
- In summer — before the trip, not straight after a day at the beach: we don't wax sunburnt skin.

About the treatment
The back is almost impossible to take care of yourself, which is exactly why many people book back waxing. It suits both men and women. LYCON wax removes even short, coarse hair from the root, and the skin stays smooth for weeks without the itch of shaving.
Who is back waxing for?
- men who want a neat back for the beach, gym or everyday life
- women with downy or darker hair on the upper or lower back
- when shaving is awkward and stubble itches
For men we also offer chest waxing. Male intimate waxing is not offered at Skinique.
When there is a lot of hair
Back hair is often dense and grows in different directions in different spots. So your cosmetologist works patch by patch and removes each piece against the way that patch grows. Long hair is trimmed first so the wax grips evenly.
The first time usually feels the strongest. Visits after that tend to be easier, as regrowth is usually thinner.

Hair that is too long is trimmed so the wax grips evenly.

Can I wax just part of my back?
Yes. The price is the same whether it is the upper, lower or whole back, so the whole back can always be done in the same visit.
Is it suitable for very hairy men?
Yes. The first time may feel stronger, but the hair is finer on later visits.
Can I go to the gym after waxing?
Better wait a day. Sweat and friction irritate freshly waxed skin and can cause bumps.
What if I have many moles on my back?
Mention them at the start. Wax is not applied over moles; hair around them is removed with care.
How often should I wax my back?
Backs are usually waxed every 4–6 weeks. Over time the hair gets finer, and visits get easier.
