PLANNING

  • Before an event — at least 2 days ahead: redness lasts a few hours and small red dots until the next day.
  • Regularly — every 4–6 weeks for oily skin, less often for normal skin. Cleansing too often irritates the skin.

SKINIQUE

About the treatment

A manual deep cleanse is a cosmetologist's core treatment: blackheads, clogged pores and small blemishes are removed by hand. First the skin is cleansed and softened with steam so the pores open and the plugs come out more easily. Extraction is done hygienically and with respect for the skin, and the treatment ends with a calming mask. The result is clean, fresh skin that can breathe again. We finish with professional GIGI cosmetics (Israel) chosen for your skin type.

Who is a manual cleanse for?

It works best when the skin has lots of actual congestion:

  • blackheads on the nose, chin and forehead
  • whiteheads and small bumps under the skin
  • oily or combination skin whose pores clog easily
  • skin that has not been professionally cleansed for a long time

If your skin is sensitive or red, a gentler option is ultrasonic cleansing. For inflamed acne, GIGI Clear Skin Control is better, because inflamed spots are not squeezed.

How does it go?

We start with cleansing and a light exfoliation, then steam the face. Warmth and moisture soften the sebum plugs. Your cosmetologist removes congestion with fingers wrapped in sterile tissue or, if needed, with an instrument – only what comes out without harming the skin.

Afterwards the skin is disinfected and calmed with a mask chosen for your skin type. You can finish with LED light, which calms redness and supports recovery.

What to expect afterwards

Skin may be red for a few hours, and extraction points can show as small red dots until the next day. So it is best not to plan an important evening for the same day.

The skin feels clean and light straight away, and after a few days the surface is smoother and make-up sits better. Home care matters a lot: your cosmetologist will advise which cleanser and moisturiser keep congestion from coming back as quickly. Read also breakouts in adulthood.

Price and duration

A manual deep cleanse takes about 75 minutes and costs €80. If you would like cleansing plus a pampering treatment with massage, choose the complete facial.

Blockage

Questions

Does a manual cleanse hurt?

Extraction feels like pressure and can be uncomfortable in places, especially around the nose. Steaming softens the skin so congestion comes out more easily.

Will it leave marks?

Redness usually fades within a few hours. Small red dots may show until the next day.

How often should I have it?

Every 4–6 weeks for oily skin, less often for normal skin. Extracting too often irritates the skin.

Can blackheads be removed for good?

Not permanently, because the skin keeps producing sebum. Regular cleansing and the right home care keep them under control.

Is manual or ultrasonic cleansing better?

Manual removes deep congestion; ultrasound gently cleans the surface. Many people do best alternating the two.

Is it suitable for teenagers?

Yes. There is also a facial for young skin that includes cleansing.

A really professional specialist and a warm atmosphere. I especially appreciated that, although I had booked a particular treatment, she told me directly that it would not be the best fit for me. She recommended another one (which was even cheaper), and we ended up doing that one instead. I will definitely come here again 😊
