About the treatment
GIGI Clear Skin Control is a facial for skin that gets oily, congested and breaks out easily. It uses GIGI Laboratories products for blemish-prone skin. The aim is to clear the pores and calm the skin without drying it, because over-harsh treatment irritates the skin and can make breakouts worse. Your skin may be a little red for a short while, but you can carry on with your plans as usual.
Who is it for?
- oily or combination skin with clogged pores
- recurring spots and blackheads
- adult breakouts, for example around the chin
- skin irritated by overly strong acne products
The treatment does not replace medical care for severe acne, but it supports it well. See GIGI and blemish-prone skin and breakouts in adulthood.
How does it go?
The skin is cleansed and lightly exfoliated. Then the pores are cleaned with ultrasound: and dead cells loosen from the pore openings, and single blockages are gently removed if needed. Inflamed spots are not touched. If you have a lot of blackheads, see also mechanical deep cleansing.
The treatment uses products from the GIGI Acnon line. Finally a calming, balancing mask and a light, non-clogging cream are applied. You can add Dermalux LED light therapy – read Dermalux and blemishes.
As a programme
Skin finds its balance gradually, so the treatment is usually done as a series. The Clear Skin programme is designed for this. Home care matters as much as visits: your cosmetologist will help you choose products that cleanse without drying.

GIGI Clear Skin Control takes about 75 minutes and costs €80.
