Leg waxing: full legs or by area – and how to make it last longer
01

Shaving or waxing your legs?

Shaving is fast, but you can feel stubble the very next day, and it often leaves itching, red bumps and ingrown hairs. When wax pulls each hair out with its root, your legs stay smooth for 3–5 weeks.

Regular waxing also has a long-term benefit: the hair grows back finer and sparser, and after a few visits many notice there is clearly less of it than before.

02

Options and prices

At Skinique you can choose from three options for the legs:

Doing lower legs and thighs together costs less than booking them as two areas. With the bikini area and underarms the combination is cheaper still: bikini line, underarms and lower legs is €95 and Brazilian, underarms and full legs €125.

Wax removes the hair. The follicle remains.

Hair grip

The wax is applied to the skin and grips the hair. The wax is chosen for the area and your skin.

03

Which to choose?

Choose lower legs if the hair on your thighs is light and unnoticeable, or if you want to try waxing first. Lower legs are the most visible part with skirts, shorts and summer shoes.

Choose full legs if there is visible hair on your thighs too, or if you already shave your whole legs. That saves the most time and gives an even result.

Choose thighs only if you take care of your lower legs another way or there is little hair there.

04

How long does it last?

Usually 3–5 weeks. The first time, the hairs are in different growth phases, so some new ones appear after a couple of weeks. When you wax regularly every 4–6 weeks, the hair starts growing in the same rhythm and the smooth period gets longer.

The key is not to shave between waxes. Shaving breaks the rhythm and leaves the hair coarse and sharp, so it also grows under the skin more easily.

05

When before a holiday?

If you're going on a beach holiday, book leg waxing 2–5 days before you travel. Any redness will have settled and your skin will be at its smoothest. Avoid the sun for 24–48 hours after waxing.

If you'd like everything done in one visit, choose a package: Brazilian, underarms and full legs or the same plus arms.

06

Varicose veins and sensitive spots

If you have varicose veins, visible blood vessels or moles on your legs, tell us before the treatment. We don't wax over varicose veins, and sensitive spots are avoided. Waxing is also not suitable for skin with wounds, a rash or sunburn.

Preparation and aftercare are covered in before and after waxing, and our choice of wax in why LYCON.
