Many are surprised how relaxing LED light therapy is. You lie calmly under the device, the light feels gently warm and nothing hurts. No squeezing, no needles, no stinging. For many it's the only moment in the week when they don't have to do anything.
Here we walk through your first visit so you know exactly what to expect.
No special preparation is needed, but a few things are good to know:
Contact lenses can stay in during the treatment.
The whole visit takes about an hour.
Select a colour to explore its role in Dermalux care.

In Dermalux programmes, blue light is meant for blemish-prone skin. It does not replace cleansing or treatment prescribed by a doctor.
Red light is used when the goal relates to skin texture and fine lines. The programme is chosen to suit your skin.
Near-infrared light is invisible, so the picture shows it as a warm tone. According to the manufacturer, it supports skin recovery and suits skin prone to redness.
Usually fresh and rested. Red skin can calm down even after the first session. Your skin isn't red or sore, so you can wear make-up and carry on as normal.
LED isn't a treatment that changes your skin in one go. It affects cell activity gradually, and the clearest change shows after a series.
At the end of the first visit we agree whether to continue as a series. Your cosmetologist suggests the number of sessions and the interval for your skin. Even spacing matters more than how many you do at once.
The best value for a series is the Dermalux course. LED can also be combined with other treatments as a 15-minute add-on – read when a combination helps.
