About the treatment
In an acid peel, fruit or salicylic acids are applied to the skin. They dissolve the bonds between and clear the pores from within. The skin renews faster, the surface smooths and congestion decreases. The strength and contact time are chosen for your skin, so the peel is effective but controlled.

How does it go?
To start, the skin is cleansed and degreased, and sensitive areas such as around the eyes and mouth corners are protected. The acid is chosen for your skin and your goal. It is applied and your cosmetologist watches the skin's reaction throughout – contact time is usually a few minutes. Then the acid is neutralised or removed, the skin is calmed with a mask and finally protected with sunscreen.
Some people get light flaking for 2–5 days, others none at all – both are normal. Don't pick at the flakes.
